Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by on this hot, hot summer day!
We had an awesome thunderstorm late last night/early this morning. There was a major lightning show and I just had to watch it for a few minutes before finally going to bed. It was really amazing and made me think again about what a powerful Creator we have! I was hoping (ha) that it would cool things off a bit, but it's just steamy hot instead.
So, if you're going to be out in this hot, steamy weather, you definitely need to be drinking lots of fluids and wearing some sunscreen.....
(how was that for an intro?)
Recipe:
* Printed papers - K&Company - "Hopscotch"
*Sunscreen - Cricut's "Pack Your Bags" cut at 4.5 inches
*Background mat - Cricut's - "Pack Your Bags" cut at 5 inches
*Oval sentiment mats - Cricut's - "George" cut at 2.5 and 3 inches
*Sentiment - Pink By Design stamp set "Summer Vacation"
*I cut the mat out twice and used pop dots to add some dimension.
*The bottle layer is also cut out twice and adhered with pop dots.
*I added Stickles to the sun for some sparkle.
*I used my Scoreboard to add a few lines to the lid of the sunscreen bottle.

Well, that's about it for me today. I'm off to work on cleaning up this house...uuughhh. I so dislike housekeeping. But, at least I'm inside where my AC is humming along! Thanks again for dropping by today. Take care and I'll be seeing you soon....

Great intro for a fabulouos card. I am trying to decide when to take my daughter to the beach (we will need sunscreen). Sooner would be better before another storm comes.

This is so cute...love the bright papers, and the perfect sentiment! I wish I was wearing sunscreen yesterday. We went to camp yesterday afternoon and sat on the beach. I'm fair...so I was wearing capri pants and a long sleeve shirt and hat. I still burned my shins...I tell you...I'm paying for it today. Lee-Ann :)

I so love your card!!! That sunscreen bottle is awesome! Love the postage stamp mat, too. We were blessed with rain last yesterday and then it came in this morning and rained for a good while!! Our garden so loved it!!! It stayed cloudy most of the day, so it didn't make it into the 100's again like they thought. :)

This is such an adorable card! I really love the stamp edges on the background mat. So cute! We are SO dry right now. We had about 16... maybe 17 seconds of rain today and that was it. Hoping and praying for more. We are really worried about what the fireworks might bring. Just driving home this afternoon and a gas station had the entire empty lot next to it in flames from someone throwing out a cigarette. It's pretty scary around here right now. Well, absolutely love the card! TFS!
