Fantabulous Cricut Crawl!

Welcome to Nonna's Craft Corner and the SEVENTH Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop!
In honor of our Home Planet, Mother Earth, we're having a "Save the Earth" Crawl...each Design Team member will be featuring an original Upcycled-Themed Project that includes at least one Reusable/Recycled Item along with at least ONE Cricut Cut.
If you've come from visiting Tammy at Bowman Crafts, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE!

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Save the Earth" project at FCCB!
How fun is that?
If you started out at FCCB, you saw the sneak peek of my project for today's Cricut Crawl.  Let me show you a better photo now...

So...let me explain!  I've had these really ugly paper clips for a very long time.  I use them to hold things together as the glue is drying.  I noticed them in a pile on my work island and thought....hmmmm...I should be able to do something with those!  So, I got out a few supplies and got busy...

(ugly paper clips)

(Glossy Accents & 1 inch paper punch)

So...I punched out 1 inch circles from cardstock and used Glossy Accents to adhere the circle to the round portion of my paper clip.

The next part is where the fun begins!  I used several Cricut cartridges to create all sorts of fun images that I can use to embellish cards and layouts!  Here's the carts I used:

 * Butterfly - Art Philosophy - cut at 2.5 inches
* Stars - Art Philosophy - cut at 1.5 and 2 inches
* Banner - Art Philosophy - cut at 2.25 inches (sentiment - Pink By Design)
* Sunshine - Pack Your Bags (Peachy Keen face)
* Flower - Art Philosophy - cut at 2.5 inches
* Cupcake - Cricut American Alphabet - cut at 2.5 inches
* Oval sentiment mat - Spellbinders (sentiment - Pink By Design)

And, here's a card I created using the paperclip with the stars. It almost looks like it was taken in black and white, but the background paper is a dark blue color....

Recipe:
* I machine stitched around the edges of my dark blue cardstock
* Sentiment is from the "You Are" stamp set from Pink By Design
* Stars are from the Art Philosophy cartridge and are covered with Martha Stewart Tinsel glitter.
* I added some wide white ribbon and of course, my paperclip embellishment!

And, here's a card I made using that fun, Pink By Design sentiment...

Recipe:
* Sugar & Spice paper stack by The Paper Studio
* Grand Nestablilities - Grand Labels 11
* Cupcake - Birthday Bash cut at 4 inches
* Glossy Accents on cherry and sprinkles
* Brown tulle with my paperclip embellishment!

Well, that pretty much wraps up my project for today's Cricut Crawl, I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me!  I am also the last stop on our Crawl, so from it here...it's back to FCCB for you!  But, before you go...I do have a give-away to share!  In honor of today's Crawl, I would like to give away the "Jubilee" Cartridge to one lucky follower....

To have your name entered into the random drawing for this cartridge, you will need to complete two simple steps:

1)  Become a follower (if you are not already a follower)
2) Leave a comment on this post

** I will randomly choose a winner on Monday, May 7th **

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Upcycled-Themed projects! Make sure to include a Cricut Cut somewhere on your project!  When you are finished, make sure to link up your project to the FCCB Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!  I can't wait to see what you create!

  32. Those are soooo CUTE!!! I like all the different cartridges you used to make them fun and creative! Now My question is.... What are you using to hold things down???? Or did I read something wrong? LOL I thought I read you used them for hold items that you glued.... then you decided to fancy them up (as I like to call it)! :O) And then you put them on your lovely cards.... Soooo is that right? Or did I miss a step? If I'm right... then what are you gonna use to hold things down for gluing???? If I'm wrong then just ignore my whole post cuz I'm a little wacky anyway! tehehehe
